One of the easiest and tastiest mountain dishes to make at home and perfect for a cold winter evening.
Ingredients: Reblochon cheese ( 1/2 a cheese would serve up to 4 people) + lardons + onion + potatoes +creme fraiche (optional) + a bit of garlic (optional)
Set the oven to about 180ºC.
Finely slice enough potatoes to fill a pie dish. par-boil and set aside / Fry up the lardons, onions and soak off fat with kitchen roll / Put the these along with the potatoes into the dish, layering as you go / Chuck in a dollop or two of creme fraiche if you fancy it / Slice the Reblochon in half length ways creating 2 slim flat pieces / Lay them rind-up on the top of the mixture and stick it in the over until the cheese is bubbling and melted into the potatoes.
Serve with a simple green salad and delight in the massive cheesy goodness of it all.
